Travertine stone paired with walnut wood, two materials that age well and look better with a little wear. The stone is porous with visible banding, so no two fixtures carry the same pattern, and the walnut darkens gently over the first year rather than fading.
The light is directed downward, washing the wall below rather than projecting into the room. That makes it a fixture you can mount at head height in a hallway or beside a bed without any glare, and it means the stone itself catches some of the light on its way past.
The form is deliberately minimal, with no visible bracket and no shade beyond the stone body. It suits a bedroom, a hallway or a living room where natural materials already appear in the flooring or the furniture, and it works particularly well as a pair either side of a bed. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work begins. The travertine body stays cool to the touch even after hours of use, since the LED sits recessed rather than against the stone directly. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth only; the stone's porosity means a wet cloth can leave a mark that is difficult to lift once it has dried in.
