Square LED Flush Ceiling Light

A square rather than a round flush mount, which changes how it sits on a ceiling. Squares line up with door frames, corridors and rectangular rooms in a way circles never quite do, so the fixture reads as part of the architecture rather than an object stuck onto it.

Acrylic over an iron frame, with a 24W integrated LED behind the diffuser. The output is spread evenly across the panel rather than concentrated, so there is no bright centre and no visible hot spot from below. That evenness is what makes it work in a hallway, where every unevenness in the light shows up along the length of the wall.

Two frame finishes and two light temperatures. Black is the more graphic option and pairs with dark handles and fittings; gold is warmer and softens the geometry. Cold white suits hallways and working spaces; warm white is better in a bedroom or a living room. Choose at purchase, since the LED is integrated. An acrylic diffuser is also lighter than glass, which makes the panel easier to hold overhead while it is being fixed, and it lifts off for a wipe once the fitting is cool. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work.
