Solon LED Ceiling Light

A shallow metal disc with a diffused face, finished in a flat colour rather than the usual white or chrome. That colour choice is what separates it from every other flush mount: it becomes a considered detail on the ceiling instead of a fitting you stop noticing.

Two diameters. At 30 cm it suits a bedroom, a hallway or a small kitchen. At 40 cm it covers a living room or a larger bedroom properly. The light is diffused evenly across the face, so there is no visible hot spot and no glare from below, which matters in a bedroom where you look at the ceiling from the bed.

Six colours, and they change the room. White and black are the neutrals. Grey is quiet and modern. Blue, pink and yellow are the ones that read as a decision, and they work best in a child's room, a nursery or a space that already has colour. The coloured finish is a powder coating baked onto the metal disc, which holds its tone evenly rather than fading the way a painted surface sometimes does. Diffusion is handled by an opal acrylic panel across the face, spreading the LED output into one even sheet of light rather than a series of visible points. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before any work begins.
