Orbis Circular Wall Light

A circular acrylic diffuser with a golden globe set against it, so the fixture reads as two geometric elements balanced against each other rather than a lamp with a shade. The acrylic glows evenly across its face while the globe stays as a bright point within it.

Left and right configurations exist because the globe sits off-centre. A single fixture reads better when it opens towards the room, and buying one of each gives a properly mirrored pair either side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace, which a single-handed design cannot do.

Warm white at 2700 to 3500K suits a bedroom or a living room, where the light is doing atmosphere. Cold white at 5500 to 7000K is crisper and better in a hallway or a modern living space where the geometry is meant to read sharply. Choose the hand and the temperature before ordering. The frame sits around 4cm off the wall, shallow enough to clear a headboard or a door swing without extra clearance. Powder-coated steel holds its finish better than a painted frame, which matters on a wall brushed past daily, and the mounting plate covers a standard UK wall box, so no additional back plate is needed. Installation should be carried out by a competent person.
