NordicGlow Fluted Pendant Light

A vertical fluted shade in metal and glass, with the ridges running the full height of the form. The fluting breaks the light into fine bands as it leaves the shade, so the glow arriving on a counter or a table has some texture rather than falling as a flat circle.

Its proportions suit a run rather than a single point. Three of these spaced evenly above a kitchen island read considerably better than one larger fixture, and the narrow profile means they do not block sightlines across an open-plan room. Over a dining table, a pair works well on a longer surface.

Five colours, each in warm or cold white. White is the neutral; pink and yellow are the warmest and most decorative; blue and dark blue are cooler and more graphic. Warm white suits dining and living spaces, cold white a kitchen worktop where clarity matters. Hang the bottom around 75 to 85 cm above a tabletop. Installation should be carried out by a competent person. Spacing matters as much as height: allow roughly 70 to 80 cm between centres over an island so the pools of light overlap slightly rather than reading as separate spots. Wipe the fluting with a dry cloth, since kitchen grease settles in the ridges.
