The construction pairs a wood face with aluminium detailing, which keeps it light enough to mount on a plasterboard wall with the right fixings while still reading as a solid object. The wood warms it up; the aluminium keeps the hooks slim and stops them stretching the shoulders of anything hung on them.
Double hooks matter more than they sound: each position takes a coat and a bag, or two lighter items, which roughly doubles what the rack holds without making it longer.
