Nordic Marble Ceiling Downlight

A body cut from genuine stone rather than a printed marble effect, paired with brushed metal. Because the stone is real, the veining runs differently through every piece and no two fittings are identical, which is the whole argument for the material over a moulded imitation.

Stone also does something to light. The thinner sections glow slightly when the fixture is on, so the body itself warms rather than staying dark around a bright centre. That gives it presence in a hallway or an entrance where a plain downlight would simply be a light source in the ceiling.

Two finishes. White is the classic marble reading and stays neutral against any ceiling. Green is the more unusual of the two, closer to a serpentine stone, and works where the fitting is meant to be noticed. Both are compact enough to use in a series along a corridor. The brushed metal collar is fitted around the stone rather than bonded to it, so the two materials can expand and contract slightly without stress on the joint. Because the stone body is solid, the fixture carries some weight, and the fixing should be checked against the ceiling material before installation. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before work begins.
