Macaron Cylinder Pendant Light

A smooth aluminium cylinder with a natural wood accent at the collar, in soft macaron colours. The wood is what keeps the pastel from reading as childish: a coloured cylinder alone belongs in a nursery, but grounded by timber it works in a kitchen or a cafe.

A cylinder throws a narrow column of light rather than spreading it, so it defines a specific spot. That makes it right above a breakfast bar, one end of a worktop or a bedside, and it means a run of three along an island lights the surface evenly rather than leaving gaps. Spacing them around 30 to 35 cm apart over a worktop keeps the columns of light distinct without leaving dim patches between fixtures. The wood collar can be wiped clean with a barely damp cloth, but the aluminium body should be dusted dry to avoid streaking.

Five colours. White is the neutral, black the most graphic, and green, pink and yellow the decorative options. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to source or match, and the aluminium body keeps the fixture light enough for a standard ceiling fixing. Hang the bottom around 75 to 85 cm above a tabletop. Installation should be carried out by a competent person.
