Nordic Globe Glass Wall Lamp

A frosted glass globe held in a slim wrought-iron arm. The globe hides the source entirely, so the light leaves it evenly in all directions and there is no bright point to catch your eye from a seated position or in a mirror.

That even output is why it works in a bathroom. Mounted either side of a mirror it lights a face from both directions rather than casting a shadow down it, which is what a single overhead fitting does. The same quality makes it useful above a bedside table or along a hallway where you pass close to the wall.

Two globe sizes and four metal finishes. At 12 cm it is a pair fixture, best mounted either side of something. At 15 cm it stands alone above a console or a bed. Black is the most graphic, chrome and silver the coolest and most bathroom-appropriate, and gold the warmest and most decorative. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work begins. Frosted glass shows water spotting more readily than clear, so in a bathroom wipe the globe over with a soft dry cloth every few weeks. Check the position against the bathroom zone rules before drilling.
