Sustainably woven bamboo formed into a shallow ceiling shade, so light escapes through the gaps between the strands as well as from the open face. The ceiling around the fixture fills with a fine pattern rather than staying dark, which is what a solid shade never achieves.

Each shade is woven by hand, so the tension and spacing vary from one to the next and no two throw quite the same pattern. Natural fibre also warms the light on its way through, which is why bamboo reads as cosy even with an ordinary bulb behind it.

Two profiles, A and B, differ in the depth and flare of the weave. Both suit a dining room, a hallway or a living area already leaning towards natural materials. Bamboo holds moisture, so keep it out of a bathroom or an unheated room. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before work begins.
