Modern Touch Table Lamp

A compact curved body with touch control and nothing else on the surface. The whole lamp is the switch, which sounds like a gimmick until you use one at night and realise you never have to find a button in the dark or fumble for a cable behind a nightstand.

The scale is deliberately small. It is meant to sit on a nightstand beside a book and a glass without crowding either, or at the corner of a desk where a full-size lamp would be in the way. The light is soft and warm rather than bright, so it works as a last light before sleep or a low glow in a hallway.

Eight colours, which is what makes it easy to place. Grey, black and white are the neutrals. Light blue, green and yellow are cool and calm. Red brown and pink are the warmest and suit a room with wood or terracotta already in it. The body is finished in a matte ceramic-effect resin, about 24 cm tall, which keeps the lamp stable on a narrow nightstand shelf without needing a wide footprint. Touch sensitivity moves through three brightness steps rather than a single on-off, so you can dim it down further as bedtime gets close without leaving the bed to do it. Wipe the body with a dry cloth to keep the matte finish even, and keep the touch surface free of dust.
