Natural wood against matte iron in soft macaron colours, with a head that adjusts to change the direction of the beam. The colours are the point: pale pastels rather than primaries, which is what lets a coloured light fitting sit in an adult bedroom without looking like it belongs in a nursery.
The adjustable angle makes it genuinely useful rather than only decorative. Tilted down it is a reading light beside a bed; angled up it washes the wall and becomes ambient. In a pair either side of a headboard, each person can set their own direction, which is the practical argument for this over a fixed sconce.
Six colours across two switch options. The zipper-switch version has a pull cord on the fixture itself, which means no wiring to a wall switch and the ability to turn it off from the bed; the version without is for a room where it will be wired to an existing switch. Choose before ordering, since it cannot be changed afterwards. The painted iron wipes clean with a dry cloth, but keep solvents away from it: they take the matte off a soft colour and leave a shiny patch you cannot blend back in. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work begins.
