Crystal 3-Light Semi Flush Mount

Three crystal shades on a short arm, mounted semi-flush so the fixture sits close to the ceiling while keeping the shape of a small chandelier. That is the compromise this design exists to solve: chandelier presence in a room with an ordinary ceiling height.

The crystal is clear rather than tinted, so each shade refracts the light into bright points and throws small reflections onto the ceiling around it. Three lights spread that effect across a wider area than a single shade would, which is what makes it work as a centrepiece in a living room or a foyer rather than only as a bedroom fitting.

Gold is the warmer of the two finishes and pushes the piece towards traditional; black is more graphic and works better in a modern room where the crystal is the only decorative element. It takes standard E27 bulbs, so brightness and warmth are yours to choose, and clear filament bulbs make the most of the crystal. It comes off best where there is a pale ceiling close by to catch the reflections, such as a landing or a hallway above a console table. Dust the shades with a dry lint-free cloth once or twice a year. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work.
