A patterned glass disc with an LED behind it, so the texture in the glass is picked out from within and the wall around gains a soft halo. The pattern is pressed into the material rather than printed, which means it distorts the light as well as catching it.

Because the light comes from behind the disc rather than through an opening, there is no glare at any angle. That makes it usable at eye level on a feature wall, in a hallway or beside a bed, and it means the fixture reads as an object with a glow rather than as a lamp.

Four glass finishes. Clear shows the pattern most sharply and gives the most light. Amber is the warmest. Smoke grey is the moodiest and reads almost solid when unlit. Green is the most decorative. All four come with a warm backlight, which is the right pairing for textured glass. The pattern is pressed while the glass is still hot, which is why the ridges catch light unevenly rather than in a perfectly regular grid. At around 20cm across, a single disc reads as a feature; two spaced along a hallway read as a sequence. Installation should be carried out by a competent person.
