2-Light Flush Mount Chandelier

Two slim metal rods extending from a central mount, each ending in a light. The geometry is the whole design: no shades, no crystal, nothing hanging. It reads as a drawn line across the ceiling rather than an object suspended from it.

At 60 cm across it covers a bedroom, a dining table for four or a section of a living room. Because it mounts flush rather than hanging, it works in a room with a standard ceiling where a two-arm chandelier on a drop would sit uncomfortably low over a table or a walkway.

Round tube or square tube changes the character more than the colour does: round is softer and more classical, square is harder and more architectural. All black is the most graphic. Black and gold warms the line where the two metals meet. White and gold is the lightest of the three and suits a pale room. Both tube profiles are hollow rather than solid, which keeps the arms light despite their length and puts less strain on the single ceiling fixing. The metal finish is powder-coated rather than plated, so the black sections in particular resist fingermarks better than a glossy lacquer would. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work.
