Macaron Coloured Glass Sconce

A frosted glass globe on a soft-toned metal base, 12 cm across. The scale is what makes the colour work: at this size a coloured fixture reads as an accent rather than a statement, so it can go in an adult bedroom or hallway without dominating the wall.

Height is worth thinking about with a coloured shade: at roughly 1.4 metres from the floor the globe sits below eye level and the colour reads properly against the wall rather than washing out. A dry cloth keeps the frosting clean.
