LumiBlock Rechargeable Wall Lamp

A rechargeable block with a wood-grain finish that mounts on the wall without any wiring. There is no cable, no chasing into plaster and no electrician: the bracket goes up, the lamp clips on, and it lifts off again for charging.

That makes it the answer for rented flats and for walls where a light was never planned. Either side of a bed with no bedside sockets, along a hallway with a single overhead bulb, on a stairwell landing, or in a cupboard or wardrobe where wiring would be absurd.

Touch controls on the body switch between three tones, so the same lamp gives a warm glow at night and a cooler, clearer light when needed. Four finishes: natural wood and walnut lead with the grain, white recedes into a pale wall, black reads as graphic. A full charge covers several evenings of ordinary use. The bracket is fixed with two small screws and takes only a minute or two to mount, after which the lamp itself simply clips on and off without tools each time it needs charging. In a wardrobe it can be triggered by hand rather than left running constantly, which makes a single charge last considerably longer. The walnut finish blends most easily into an existing run of wood furniture, while white and black suit a plainer wall on their own. A full charge typically covers several evenings of ordinary bedside or hallway use before it needs to go back on the bracket.
