Ribbed Glass Pendant Light

Textured glass is what separates this pendant from the plain cylinder version of the same idea. The stripe shade runs vertical ribs down a 19 cm cylinder; the wave shade is shorter at 15 cm with a softer, rippled surface. Both break the light as it passes through, so the glow lands with some pattern in it instead of arriving flat.

Three configurations cover different rooms. A single head suits a bedside, a hallway or one end of a worktop. The three-head round cluster at 30 cm gathers light over a small dining table or a kitchen island. The long 50 cm three-head bar runs along a breakfast bar or a rectangular table, spreading light across its length rather than pooling it in the middle.

The drop is adjustable at installation, which matters more than it sounds: too low over a table and it blocks sightlines, too high and the shade stops doing its job. The E27 fitting takes standard bulbs, so you can choose the warmth and brightness yourself, and swap it later without changing the fixture. Installation should be carried out by a competent person. Bulb choice makes a real difference here: a clear filament bulb shows through the ribbing and doubles the pattern, while an opal bulb keeps the glow softer and hides the filament entirely.
