French Ribbed Resin Wall Lamp

Cast resin with a ribbed surface, throwing light both upward and downward so the wall gains a band above and below the fixture rather than a single pool. The ribbing gives the body its own fine shadows during the day, which is more than a smooth sconce manages.

Dual emission is what makes it work as ambient lighting. Because nothing points into the room, there is no glare at eye level, and the two bands of light on the wall read as a deliberate effect rather than as illumination that happened to land there.

Three colours, all with warm white light. Cream is the softest and reads as almost plaster-like. Green is cooler and more decorative. Brown orange is the warmest and earthiest, suiting a room with timber or terracotta already in it. It sits close to the wall, so it does not catch a shoulder in a hallway. Cast resin is lighter than the stone or concrete it visually references, which keeps wall fixings straightforward on plasterboard as well as on masonry. The ribbed texture also hides small scuffs better than a smooth painted surface would over time. Because the resin is cast in one piece, there are no visible seams running through the ribbing at any angle. Installation should be carried out by a competent person.
