Leather-effect surfaces do three things fabric cannot: they take a hot dish without scorching, they wipe clean rather than needing a wash, and they resist the scratches that cutlery leaves on a bare table. The stitched edge is reinforced rather than left raw, so the mats keep their shape after repeated wiping rather than curling at the corners the way thinner PU mats do within a few months. Seven colours in sets of four or six. Black, grey and dark coffee are the neutrals. Light coffee and brown are warmer and suit a timber table. Green and blue read as a colour decision. Choose six for a full dining table, four for a smaller one or a kitchen island. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry; do not put them in a dishwasher.
