Cut crystal panels set into a stainless steel frame, arranged so that a single G9 source refracts through the prisms and scatters across the wall instead of arriving as one flat wash. That refraction is the reason to buy a crystal sconce rather than a plain one: the light has structure to it.
Two sizes do different jobs. At 14 x 30 cm it is a pair fixture, best mounted either side of a bed or a mirror where two together frame something. At 21 x 45 cm it becomes a single statement on an entrance wall or beside a fireplace, and it carries enough presence to stand alone. Black is the more restrained frame; gold is warmer and pushes the piece towards traditional.
Stainless steel rather than plated pot metal, which is what keeps the frame from marking around the fixings over time. The crystal wants an occasional dust with a dry cloth to keep its sparkle, since dulled prisms lose the effect entirely. Installation should be carried out by a competent person, with the circuit isolated before work begins.
