Corduroy has come back into rooms for the same reason it never left clothing: the ribs catch light along their length, so a plain colour reads as texture rather than a flat block. On a sofa that matters, because it gives a cushion depth without needing a pattern to do the work.
The wale here is fine rather than chunky, and the covers use a spliced construction so the ribs run in more than one direction across the face. That keeps them from looking like upholstery offcuts. The fabric is soft to the hand rather than stiff, which is the difference between a cushion people lean on and one they move out of the way.
Nine colours, and they are chosen to work together rather than in isolation. Beige, white and dark grey are the neutrals; light green, green and blue the cool tones; pink, yellow and wine red the warm ones. Two or three shades from the same family on one sofa reads better than a matched set. Covers only, so existing inserts can be reused, with a concealed closure at the back. Corduroy holds pet hair more than a smooth weave, so a lint brush is worth keeping nearby if a dog uses the sofa.
